Rules
ACTIVITY
This is meant to be a laid-back game, so our activity rule is one post per month. Activity checks will be run on the first of every month, and anyone who has not participated in the previous month will be removed.
AGE
Please be at least 18 years old, or be able to convince us otherwise.
CHARACTERS
All characters must be original. Races other than humans will be accepted.
DRAMA
OOC Drama will not be accepted. If you have any problem with another player please contact the mod immediately. The mod has the right to remove a player at any time if they feel that said player is making the game unpleasant for anyone else.
GODMODDING
As with most RPGs, godmodding is unacceptable. If the mod feels you are godmodding at an alarming rate, you will be removed from the game.
JOURNALS
Are to be used as the character's journal only. Characters in game will not be able to read the journal entries, only players from an OOC perspective. Threading is to be done only in the main community.
CANON KNOWLEDGE
No knowledge of the books is required/expected.
PBs
Please do not use overly known celebrities as your PB; be creative. The mod reserves the right to reject your application based upon your PB. Also, try and have a reasonable amount of icons (i.e., more than one), but the exact amount is dependent upon you (i.e., you don't need to have a hundred). Try to have at least 20. PBs must be in period costume. (There is a compilation list of period costume PB's here.) PBs can be changed, but changes must be approved by the mod.
PLOT
Major plot points should be run by the mod prior to putting them into use. Characters should also interact with more than one person in the course of the game, meaning they can't just talk to their boyfriend/girlfriend the entire game.
RATING
This RPG does allow NC-17 content in it (violence, sex). However, it is completely optional to participate in NC-17 threads and/or story lines. There will be a warning at the top of each thread informing you of the content in it.
SPELLING, GRAMMAR, and PUNCTUATION
Please try your best to avoid errors when spelling. We are all human and are going to make mistakes, however, if you SpElL LyKe Dis, you will be removed from the game.
TAGS
Please use tags on all your posts! These help keep everything organized, and make it easier to find things later. Infair_ooc there are tags for introductions, characters, and players. You can view the full list here. In
fairthreads there are tags for characters, players, locations, as well as the status (complete, incomplete) of threads. You can view the full list here.
THREADS
Should have a header like so:
Characters: [Who's involved this scene.]
Setting: [Where and when (morning, evening, between what events of the day) the scene is occurring.]
Rating: [NC-17, PG-13, R, G, etc. State why. Eg, Violence, graphic sex, mild language, etc.]
Summary: [A short summary of the scene. Maybe what it's trying to achieve, what spawned it into being, and etc.]
Status: [Threaded, Logged, Complete, Incomplete, etc.]
The header does not have to be exactly like the one shown above, but it must be similar in that it tells the main details of what's going on in the thread. The rating must be shown in the header and be an accurate representation of what goes on in the thread.
One sentence posts/responses are VERY frowned upon. You do not need to write a novel, but please try and make an effort to give the person you're plotting with something to work with.
